米兰·昆德拉(Milan Kundera)，捷克著名作家。代表作品有：《玩笑》、《笑忘录》、《不能承受的生命之轻》和《不朽》等。

1929年4月1日，米兰·昆德拉出生于捷克斯洛伐克布尔诺的一个中产阶级家庭。他的父亲是一位著名的钢琴家和音乐家。幼时，他曾随父亲学习钢琴和作曲，后师从捷克著名作曲家保尔·哈斯学习作曲。除了音乐，他还曾经还对造型艺术和电影感兴趣。

1968年，昆德拉和很多其他捷克作家一样，也曾参加“布拉格之春”的改革运动。这场运动以乐观的改革精神开始，却最终被苏联和其他华约成员国军队镇压。

在他的小说《笑话》中，他对共产主义时代的极权主义进行了犀利讽刺，再加上后来他对苏联入侵行径的批评，导致他在捷克斯洛伐克被列入黑名单，他的作品也被禁止。1975年，他流亡法国，后成为法国公民。
